The Eska Range is a selection of student furniture with a heavy focus on aesthetics and sustainability, aiming to provide the continuity and quality that many students felt was missing from their housing.
The combination of a Douglas fir and powder coated metal parts achieve a visual balance and a balance in strength and aesthetics. The pale timber is contrasted by the powdercoated metal – which is available in a variety of colours to move with fashions and allow customisation by universities or PBSA providers. Eska focuses on sustainability through longevity and durability of products. As anyone can imagine, student furniture takes a fair amount of toll during its lifetime so it is absolutely vital that it is easy to repair, parts are easy to replace and that it can cope with constant daily use, and sometimes overuse. That’s where Eska comes in. It has been designed to include standard furniture fittings that would be easily replaceable from any hardware store and has a knock-down assembly making individual parts easy to replace.
Inspired by personal experience, the Eska range helps to combat the small space living that is often offered to students by utilising dual functionality. The range is composed of a side table or stool, a coffee table or bench, a console table or desk and a clothes rail.
